We would like to send a Thank You to Kingswood Neighbourhood Centre for inviting us to a community event 

On the 2nd of June we had an amazing day we had everything there from Karate; local businesses and the Corby Community Support Team! Such a great community event and we have been invited back for more in the future so please come along and join us.

Because it's our club trip to Deene Park, we are all very much looking forward to it. 

For those who are not joining us at Deene, we shall see you in July for a Pedestal Workshop tutored by Vicki Tuffen. More details to follow... please join us there  

Floral Demonstration - Thursday 26th May 2016

Don't forget Thursday 26th May our floral demonstration with NAFAS Area Demonstrator - Janet Cooper.  Visitors are welcome - £5.00.  It will be a lovely evening of flowers.

Bronze medal for club at Malvern Show

Husband and wife members of the club, Michael and Amanda Punter won a bronze medal representing the club at the RHS Malvern Spring Gardening Show for their exhibit of A Royal Garden Party in Class 3 - A Grand Occasion

Westminster Abbey - Feast of Ascension flowers

Our flower club was privileged and honoured to be given the opportunity of arranging flowers at Westminster Abbey on Thursday 5th May 2016 for the Feast of Ascension.

Two members of the club Amanda Punter and Kate Linsell travelled to London and arranged on behalf of the club.

Lonely Bouquet - National Flower Arranging Day

Each year NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arranging Societies) organise National Flower Arranging of which the Lonely Bouquet is part of this.  The Lonely Bouquet is arranged by flower clubs belonging to NAFAS and placed in a public place for a member of the public to find and enjoy.

This year Corby and District Flower Club were one of 9 clubs in the South Midlands Area of NAFAS who were asked to arrange a special bouquet in honour of the Queens 90th Birthday.  Our publicity officer Kate Linsell arranged this bouquet which was found earlier today in the Old Village by Rachel.

Two others have been placed by Kate and one earlier today arranged by our Chairman, Amanda Punter was found outside Morrisons and being enjoyed by Gemma and her daughter.

Floral Demonstration - Thursday 26th May

Our next meeting to be held on Thursday 26th May at 7.30pm will be a fabulous floral demonstration by Janet Cooper, a NAFAS Area Demonstrator called 'Fantasies and Fairytales'.

Please come and join us in the Youth Room at The Kingswood Neighbourhood Centre, Alberta Close, Corby NN18 9HU.

Visitors are £5 and treat yourself to a raffle ticket and you could go home with a lovely floral arrangement.
